A love lock on London Bridge. A key thrown into the Thames. A woman who decides how it ends. That is London City by Ingeborg IAM: cinematic electro dream pop at 120 BPM, with ice cold synths, a rising arpeggio and a voice that carries both the weight of survival and the lightness of return.
Dutch born, Zurich based. Born in Groningen, she moved to Switzerland in 2013 and sang backing vocals for Patric Scott and Jesse Ritch across Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Her album London Tapes, nine songs recorded in one take each with producer Leoš Gerteis at NJP Studios, was made for a 50 minute set at The Moorings on the Thames, with 300 guests and Tower Bridge behind her.
Obscure Sound, Broken 8 Records and Illustrate Magazine have covered her work.
She writes for women who stopped asking permission to take up space and are ready to build something grand.
